My wife Kellie and I have been serial entrepreneurs  nearly our entire life's. We went on our first date in 1986 and have been together ever since. Prior to creating the The Smart Tarp TM, we owned and still own  Vanguard Mobile, as well as a sales and marketing consulting firm. We are parents and grandparents and love creating business that becomes an asset to our clients  We have been in the marketing and media space, working with roofing and exterior companies across the country for    many years. In a single moment in time, one of our clients expressed how limited and static the choices were when it came to generating referrals from jobsites, and we had a moment of realization. We saw a need in the roofing industry and found we were in the unique position to fill it. This is where the Smart Tarp ™ was born, a patent pending product and method, combined with the tech experience of owning a mobile development company, that together, could be a game changer in a very unchanged space.

We knew we had an idea, but we didn’t have a product. So we began our journey, and what a journey it was.

Our first season we learned the chemistry of epoxies and adhesives and the importance of proper ventilation. We created our own tools, processes and methodologies and began selling the Smart Tarp ™, yet knowing we could do better.

Nearly 40% of our first customers reordered additional Smart Tarps ™ in 2021, and we were incredibly grateful yet knowing we could do better. We have and will always be focused on doing it better than before.
